Luis Miguel cumulates seven years of experience in clean energy, green building, energy efficiency and smart grid projects. He worked for Colombian green building company Green Factory, leading a team of consultants during LEED certification projects and performing techno economic feasibility analyses for commercial solar PV projects. He also worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems in Germany, researching and developing business models for battery systems, both stand-alone and combined with PV systems. Specifically, his work focused on the provision of grid ancillary services by large scale and distributed battery systems. During this time, he was coauthor in a number of peer-reviewed papers published in journals. Luis Miguel has a Biology Bachelor of Science, and a Master in Renewable Energy Management from the University of Freiburg. He also has a Residential and Commercial Photovoltaic Systems Certificate from Solar Energy International, in Colorado, USA. He speaks Spanish and English fluently, and has good command of German.
