European Commission publishes CertifHy results

CORDIS, the European Commission Community Research and Development Service, published the results of the EU-Project CertifHy ‘Developing a European Framework for the generation of guarantees of origin for green hydrogen’ led by HINICIO with ECN, LBST and TÜV SÜD.  Creating a low-carbon certification system for hydrogen is a step towards establishing a decarbonized European energy market, as stated by the CORDIS article. The EU-funded CertifHy project is taking that step with its new ‘Guarantee of Origin’ (GO) system that includes the definition of green and low-carbon hydrogen, a detailed proposal for a GO system and a road-map for implementation. Industry, NGOs and certification and issuing bodies strongly support CeritfHy to implement the first EU-wide GO scheme for Green Hydrogen. The Consortium is building a supervisory board, developing and managing a GO infrastructure and first pilot projects.  Find out more: http://bit.ly/2oFMGkx
